Hosting prices differ mainly on two axes: how much dedicated capacity you get, and how much of the operational burden the provider absorbs. Cheap plans are cheap because you share hardware and operate the platform yourself.
The line items people forget
Base compute is often the smallest part of a mature bill. Bandwidth and egress, backups, monitoring, security tooling, staging environments and managed databases routinely add more than the servers themselves.

When to upgrade
